    Your name and contact details are added to the public register of Assessors on www.skarating.org - clients and other project professionals can contact you to enquire about your SKArating services.

  • PROJECT CERTIFICATION LICENCE

    You are licensed to issue certificates of valid SKA rated assessments. You are able to process the full certification process on the online tool and issue project assessment certificates on behalf of SKArating during every accredited year.

  • RECOGNISED SUSTAINABILITY CREDENTIALS

    You hold a formal and recognised environmental credential. Demonstrate your competencies formally through the use of the accredited badge. Gain support through the accreditation scheme to maintain and increase your professional skills in environmental sustainability to stand out in teams and the wider market.

STEPS OF THE ASSESSOR JOURNEY

If you intend to become a SKArating Assessor, these steps are milestones in your journey. You may choose to be accredited in one or more schemes, the choice is yours.

  • STEP 1 - Undertake the SKArating Foundation course and pass the Foundation exam.

  • STEP 2 - Follow the competency self-assessment and identify the best pathway for you (or use the quiz prior to SKArating Foundation course).

  • STEP 3 - Undertake the SKArating Assessor course of your scheme choice, pass the case study assignment and Assessor exam.

  • STEP 4 - Enroll in the Assessor Accreditation(s) related to your training and complete all the requirements included. Repeat annually to maintain your accreditation.

  • Repeat above STEPS 3 & 4 for each scheme you wish to be accredited in.

SKA RATING ASSESSOR ACCREDITATION TYPES & SCHEMES

If you are new to SKArating, you must select the New registration route. If you are an existing Assessor and your 23/24 enrollment is due to expire, then the Renewal option is correct for you.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

The main objective of the SKArating system is to provide environmental good practice benchmarks to the market, and quality assurance on environmental sustainability performance statements. The presence of SKArating Assessors on projects and their performance is vital in ensuring the quality and accuracy of SKArating assessed projects. A certificate confirms compliance with all the rules and criteria of the SKArating scheme benchmarks. SKArating Assessors are trained, and then provided with the ability to subscribe on to the accreditation scheme which provides them with the licence to issue certificates on behalf of SKArating.
